Welcome to Rose Park
The Rose Park Historic District received its name from "Rose Circle Park," donated in 1910 to The City of Long Beach for park use by the Alamitos Land Company.
Rose Park has more than 22,000 residents and two designated historic districts.
Rose Park is one of Long Beach's largest historic neighborhoods. It is locally designated as a historic district because of the great number of Craftsman bungalows.
Most of homes built through the 1920s in Rose Park were Craftsman Bungalows, while others built during that time period are Prairie/Mission Revival style. Ranch style and Neo-Traditional houses were built throughout the next 20 years in the district.
Due to the historic designation of the neighborhood, the Rose Park Neighborhood Association has a number of guidelines set for residents in order to preserve the history, culture and architecture of Rose Park.
