Welcome to Rose Park

  • The Rose Park Historic District received its name from "Rose Circle Park," donated in 1910 to The City of Long Beach for park use by the Alamitos Land Company.
  • Rose Park has more than 22,000 residents and two designated historic districts.
  • Rose Park is one of Long Beach's largest historic neighborhoods. It is locally designated as a historic district because of the great number of Craftsman bungalows.
  • Most of homes built through the 1920s in Rose Park were Craftsman Bungalows, while others built during that time period are Prairie/Mission Revival style. Ranch style and Neo-Traditional houses were built throughout the next 20 years in the district.
  • Due to the historic designation of the neighborhood, the Rose Park Neighborhood Association has a number of guidelines set for residents in order to preserve the history, culture and architecture of Rose Park.
